The Bee is an integrated development environment for the Scheme programming language. more » ... nts. Capsule Review This paper presents Bee a programming environment for Scheme. The environment addresses many of the shortcomings from which conventional environments for (mostly) functional languages suffer. Specifically, Bee is a visual and interactive development environment and includes a debugger, a profiler, GUI/web libraries and online documentation. The paper describes how to implement these tools for Scheme with a small development team by reusing analgous tools developed for C.
