The Brazilian Society of Oncological Surgery organized a group of oncological surgeons to discuss surgical aspects associated with locally advanced breast carcinoma. This article reviews the indications, the different surgeries (especially those associated with thoracoabdominal or myocutaneous flaps), and associated complications.
