Dipolstärkeverteilungen in 124,126,128,129,130,131,132,134,136 Xe : Suche nach dem E(5)-Phasenübergang [article]

Within the present dissertation thesis it was the first time that gaseous targets could be investigated in nuclear resonance fluorescence (NRF) experiments at the well established Stuttgart bremsstrahlung facility. The main goal of this thesis is the systematic investigation of the low-lying dipole strength distributions in the stable even-even Xenon isotopes. A special interest in this isotopic chain is, that their 9 stable isotopes undergo a shape or phase transition from the spherical 136Xe
more » ... he spherical 136Xe to the gamma-soft nuclei 124,126Xe. In total 76 ground state transitions and 33 inelastic transitions in the seven stable even-even Xenon isotopes 124,126,128,130,132,134,136Xe could be measured. Beside this, strong 1+ mixed-symmetry states could be found in 124,126,128,130,132,134Xe and identified via systematics, as well as 1- 2-phonon states in 128,130,132,134Xe. The two odd-even Xenon isotopes 129Xe and 131Xe have been measured in addition and 40 ground state transitions and 3 inelastic transitions could be found. The results of the two odd-even Xenon isotopes 129Xe and 131Xe will not be discussed in this summary.
