The study of the determinants of functioning of the milk and dairy products market of Ukraine in modern conditions has allowed to focus on such major problems as the decline in consumer demand for milk due to the reduction in population and real incomes, the formation of a surplus of milk products on dairy processing enterprises, the reduction of dairy cows, unbalancing of export chains of Ukrainian dairy products to international food markets All this has led to the necessity to focus on the following issues It has been noted that in Ukraine there are significant threats to reduce consumer demand in general, and consumer demand for milk and dairy products in particular. The author noted that promising areas of scientific research in the field of functioning of the dairy market of Ukraine could be those directions that are aimed at the study of general problems of agricultural development, solving the problems of providing dairy farms with fodder, and problems of milk exports to the world food markets.
