The problem of how to teach vocabulary effectively and efficiently puzzles many teachers for a long time. After a brief review of the history of the development of English teaching methods, this paper offers some efficient strategies of English vocabulary teaching for English teachers, which include stimulating students' curiosity and interests, using conversion of part of speech, using syntactic analysis, using formative evaluation, and using game method.
