Recent development of nonlinear plasma dynamics such as forced reconnection and forced ballooning mode driven by nonlinear fast magnetosonic waves, explosive reconnection and particle acceleration during current loop coalescence, particle acceleration in the moving sheared magnetic field is reviewed with applications to explosive energy release ( plasma heating, particle acceleration and radiation ) observed in solar plasmas like solar flares, eruptive prominences and coronal transients.
