Íåðåäêî êîììóíèêàòèâèñòû â ñâîèõ èñ-ñëåäîâàíèÿõ ñîñðåäîòî÷èâàþò âíèìàíèå èñ-êëþ÷èòåëüíî íà ñîîáùåíèÿõ ÑÌÈ-ïðåññû, ðàäèî è òåëåâèäåíèÿ, ïîñêîëüêó èìåííî ýòà ïðîäóêöèÿ èìååò ìàñøòàáíîå, âñå ïðîíèçû-âàþùåå çíà÷åíèå. Íî â ñèòóàöèè ìíîaeåñò-âåííîñòè òåêñòîâ, òðàíñëèðóåìûõ ìàññîâîé êîììóíèêàöèåé, íåîáõîäèìî âûäåëèòü âèäû òåêñòîâ, äèôôåðåíöèðîâàòü âåñü ýòîò ìíîãî-îáðàçíûé è ðàçíîðîäíûé ìàòåðèàë. Ðàññìàòðèâàåòñÿ ìåäèéíûé òåêñò êàê èíôîðìàöèîííûé ïðîäóêò è êàê ïðîäóêò ìàññîâîé êóëüòó-ðû. Îïèñûâàþòñÿ îñîáåííîñòè äàííûõ âèäîâ ìåäèéíîãî òåêñòà. Õàðàêòåðèçóþòñÿ ñîäåðaeàòåëüíî-ôîðìàëüíûå ïðèçíàêè ìåäèéíîãî òåêñòà, à òàêaeå ïðèçíàêè, ïðå-äîïðåäåëÿåìûå ñïåöèôèêîé åãî ïðîèçâîäñòâà. Êîíñòàòèðóåòñÿ ïðèîðèòåòíîñòü ñåìèîòè÷åñêèõ èññëåäîâàíèé ìåäèàòåêñòà. Êëþ÷åâûå ñëîâà: ìàññîâàÿ êîììóíèêàöèÿ, ìàññ-ìåäèà, ìåäèéíûé òåêñò, íàð-ðàòèâ, ïîâåñòâîâàòåëüíàÿ ñòðóêòóðà, ñåìèîòèêà. The article is devoted to the definition of a contemporary media text, which is widely represented in a variety of reports of media communications. A media text is considered as an information product and as a product of mass culture. The features of these media texts are described. The intensional and formal features of a media text are characterized, as well as the features that are predetermined by the specific character of its creation. The priority of semiotic studies of a media text is stated.
