The article provides an overview of scientific publications in the field of development of academic entrepreneurship in some Asia-Pacific countries: India, Indonesia, China, South Korea, Malaysia and Thailand over the period 2005–2015 gg. The aim of this study was to conduct a thorough analysis of the works devoted to the identification of the regional peculiarities of the development of academic entre-preneurship. The analysis revealed that the formation of entre-preneurial skills should begin at the earliest possible age, as pupils and students have modern thinking and are able to offer effective business idea. The most common application of this approach to the development of academic entrepreneurship is observed in India, Indonesia and Malaysia, and entrepreneurial education "exposed" all students, regardless of the direction of training. Also, a significant role in the national development of academic entrepreneurship plays a state which forms the legal framework regulating the formation of high technologies and their commercialization. This approach to the development of academic entrepreneurship is implemented in countries such as China and South Korea. In some countries, such as Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia, the maximum amount of work on the development of academic entrepreneurship lies on educational institutions, who are responsible for the development of a promising development strategy of high-tech sectors of the economy, the formation of a reserve entrepreneurially oriented youth, as well as ensuring the commercialization of innovations.
