In this study, it was aimed to investigate the effects of Web 2.0 tools used in social studies course on environmental sensitivities of secondary school students. The research was designed according to the quasi-experimental design with pretest-posttest control group, one of the quantitative research method designs. more » ... l in the fall of the 2020-2021 academic year. Environmental Sensitivity Scale was used as data collection tool. The application was carried out within the scope of the "Human and Environment" unit of the social studies course in 19 course hours (19x30 min.). Course-oriented practices were carried out in the control group in line with the current program, while the courses were carried out with the applications using Web 2.0 tools together with the current program in the experimental group. The data obtained from the scale, which was applied as a pre-and post-test before and after the applications, were analyzed in the context of the research hypotheses. As a result of the research, it was determined that the web 2.0 tools used in the social studies course did not make a statistically significant difference between environmental sensitivities pre-test and post-test scores of the students; however, it has been concluded that it has positive effects.
