A multipurpose hybrid solar water heater and room heater cum room lighting system have been designed and fabricated. The present system is not only provided the continuous hot water supply round the year but in winters it is feasible for space heating with good lighting around the place of installation (a room of 8 ×10 m 2 approximately). ... with the design of the system. The system simply deals with a solar parabolic concentrator, a water storage tank with a capacity of 50 liters, and a rectangular loop of aluminium pipe. Besides this, some additional benefits are presented over the designs of solar hybrid systems used for water and space heating.
