EFFECTS OF SUPPORT MEASURES ON RECONSTRUCTION CASES OF DAMAGED CONDOMINIUMS

This study aims to examine effects of support measures for reconstruction of condominiums damaged by the 921 Chi-Chi Earthquake of 1999 in Taiwan. To clarify influences on reconstruction projects caused by each support measure, eleven reconstruction cases were investigated by hearing surveys for readers of unit owners' organization, and relations between activities on the reconstruction process and support measures were analyzed. more » ... ination of a deregulation on the required participation ratio and a financial support for purchase of ownerships from non-participants, and a bridging loan for owners who participate in the project, were the most effective support measures. (2) Despite the presence of effective supports, progress in reconstruction was slow because of the relocation of owners caused by delays in the establishment of support measures. �
