The agrophage is found in southern Europe in the Mediterranean region, where it is recorded as a pest of onions and leeks. Some of the areas of the pest's current occurrence (e.g., northern France) are climatically similar to the western and southwestern regions of Poland (where host plants are also present), posing a risk of its potential emergence and establishment.
