Some important results of experimental studies on perforated fins with different configurations having equal weight are presented. This study was performed by considering effect of both conduction and mixed convection for extended surfaces with different configurations. An experimental setup was designed and fabricated for the purpose. A uniform heat generation and equal weight of fins are maintained for the comparison.
