Abstract: Fieldexperimentswereconductedtostudytheeffectsofcontrolledreleaseurea(CRU) onkeyenzymesactivitiesofnitrogen metabolismofrice,nitrogenuseefficiencyandsoilNO -3 -Ncontents,inordertoverifythemechanismofCRUonincreasingnitrogenuse efficiencyandincreasingsoilNO -3 -Naccumulation.TheresultsshowedthatCRUcouldimprovesignificantlynitratereductase (NR)activities ofriceleavesinfullheadingstageandmilkstage,especiallyinmilkstage.Theactivitiesofglutaminesynthetaseandglutaminetransversase
more » ... wereobviouslyincreased,andtheenhancementcontinuedtilldoughgrainstage,especiallyinfullheadingstage.Meanwhile, CRUwasabletopromotesignificantlyproteaseactivityofriceleavesinmilkstageanddoughgrainstage.Thetreatmentof4 ( CRU60%+ PU40%) wasthebesttreatmentofthekeyenzymesactivitiesofnitrogenmetabolism.CRUalsohadbettereffectonpromotingglutamine synthetaseandglutaminetransversaseactivitiesofbrownrice,andincreasedsignificantlyriceyieldandnitrogenuseefficiency,especially thetreatmentof4.CRUenhancedsignificantlyproteincontentsinbrownrice,thereforewhichimprovedqualityofricetosomeextent. Moreover,CRUcouldreduceNO -3 -Naccumulationinsoilprofilesignificantly.CRUapplicationcouldevidentlydecreasethequantityofsoil NO -3 -Nleachedtodeepsoilandlessentherisktogroundwaterpollution.
