The aim of this study was to determine the place and role of children's interests in the contemporary educational process. The paper is a synthesis of theoretical knowledge and the analysis of the results that we obtained in a research study. The study was conducted on a sample of 167 students, 165 teachers and 164 parents, adding up to a total of 496 respondents.
