... contingency table using the 2 X 2 matrix, the Yates correction method and the chi-square (x 2 ) statistical tool was used to test the validity of the proposition raised in this paper. Findings from the study showed that, 73.7% were of the notion that strategy on outdoor activities are more spontaneous .It was recommended that advance planning for staff outing and recreational activities that includes selecting participants, venue, inclusive dates and line-up of activities were essential for the success of the event.
