This research paper examines the impact of energy consumption on economic growth in case of Pakistan in long run and short run by using the time series data from the period 1980-2013. To check this relationship Auto-regressive Distributed Lag Model (ARDL) for long run and Error Correction Model (ECM) for short run are used. The empirical results show that energy consumption has significant positive impact on economic growth in both long run and short run.
