In this paper of 1936, the Vidin historian and artist Vassil Atanasov tells the history of the Rakovica Monastery, near Kula and Belogradchik. The role of this Bulgaria monastery in important historical events as the Belogradchik up-raising of 1850 and the Serbian-Turkish war of 1876 is elucidated.
