51 Reactive Power Compensation-A Case Study
2017
unpublished
This paper deals with an estimation of reactive power and its compensation for an electrical machine lab. This lab is used for conducting experiments on various DC generators whose prime mover is an induction motor. Other than electrical machines, there are large number of fluorescent lamps, exhaust fans and celling fans in the lab. For each machine, fan and fluorescent lamp, the reactive power drawn has been experimentally measured and verified with theoretical calculation. Reactive power
