Internet has made the world has a global village. Data or information is available in different forms like text, image, audio, video etc. Text can be in any of the languages of the world. Introduction of Unicode uniquely represent all the characters of script based languages in the world. Security of information transmitted through text is an area of concern. more » ... tography is generally based on parameters such as encryption algorithm and key. Larger the key size, greater is the security of data. In this paper one more parameter has been considered ie the complexity of the script of the text. Greater the script complexity, greater is the security of data against the cryptanalysts. In this scenario the characteristics of text play a vital role. In this paper we addressed the information security issues based on the complexity of Bengali language and compared the same keeping all other parameters constant with languages of Telugu and English. One of the parameter used for determining the complexity of a language is the frequency analysis and the percentage retrieval of text from cipher text. Bengali is observed to be more complex than Telugu and English.
