Hybrid MANETs enables mobile nodes to access internet services, and is achieved through gateways which act as bridges between a MANET and the Internet. Hence, in this paper the performance of modified AODV has been evaluated according to three performance metrics: Discovery time, End-to-end delay and Number of dropped packets under different mobility models and varying maximum speed for different number of nodes.
