Different modes of human-computer interaction will play a major part in making computing increasingly pervasive. More natural methods of interaction are in demand to replace devices such as the keyboard and the mouse, and it is becoming more important to develop the next generation of human-computer interfaces that can anticipate the user's intended actions.
