Mobile phones are starting to become the major platform for interaction with spatial information. Recent research has yielded promising applications and approaches for exploring, accessing and augmenting information related to the user's immediate surroundings. The CHI workshop "Mobile Spatial Interaction" (MSI) aims at gathering researchers working on this emerging and multifaceted, but quickly evolving topic.
