Optimization of Microwave Circuit Parameters by CMA-ES Method

We propose a method to accurately estimate microwave circuit parameters from observed amplitude of reflection characteristics. Characteristics of analog circuits are often not optimal because of the errors in circuit parameters. We develop a novel method to accurately estimate the circuit parameter values using the covariance matrix adaptive evolution strategy (CMA-ES) and evaluate its performance in comparison with conventional methods.
