Frederick S. Dellenbaugh has "crossed the range." This lover of the Far West and its peoples?well known throughout California as a writer and ex plorer?passed away at his home in New York City several months ago in his 81st year. Artist, architect, explorer, writer; he covered a wide field of activities and achieved prominence in each endeavor. A lover of the outdoors, his two desires as a youth were to paint and write. Art studies in Paris were a part of his European education.
