From the excreta of male Wistar rats intubated intragastrically with 3'-hydroxy HT-2 toxin and T-2 tetraol, such de-epoxydation (termed "depoxydation") products as 3'-hydroxydepoxy HT-2 toxin, 3'-hydroxy-depoxy T-2 triol and depoxy T-2 tetraol were isolated, and their structures were confirmed by GC-MS and NMR. In addition to these metabolites, depoxy HT-2 toxin and 15-acetyl-depoxy T-2 tetraol were obtained from the mixed-culture of mice intestinal flora under anaerobic condition. This
