This thesis studies the case of a mineral storage company that uses a fleet of front loaders whose maintenance management was complemented with the outsourcing of maintenance through the deeler of the brand in Perú. From the third year onwards it was suspected about cost had their early age they had a low failure rate, but the monthly maintenance costs were higher than S/. 20,000 per machine. It is also recommended the intervention of the equipment at 15,000 hours to apply an Overhaul that had

After this repair, the intervened machines did not have the same performance, presenting continuous failures on already repaired components. At the same time, it generated delays and economic losses due to downtime. In response to the problematic situation, a maintenance management model based on RCM is proposed to identify potential failures and failure modes based on the equipment history and the experience of specialist technical personnel, in order to optimize the maintenance plan to ensure availability goals and control maintenance costs. A maintenance management model was also designed for the company (Impala) to take full responsibility for maintenance from control to execution in order to optimize maintenance costs without sacrificing equipment availability.
