Effect of phosphorus and potash on yield, quality and economics of oat fodder (Avena sativaL.)

A field experiment was conducted during the rabi season of 2007-2008 at the Experimental field of College of Agriculture, Central Agricultural University, Imphal to evaluate the effect of phosphorus and potash on the yield and quality of oat fodder. On the basis of results, the highest green and dry fodder yield, protein content and protein yield was attained with the application of 40 kg P 2 O 5 /ha. Maximum gross and net income and benefit cost ratio were achieved with the application of 40 kg P 2 O 5 /ha and 20 kg K 2 O.
