The Trump administration offered compensation to producers affected by the Chinese tariffs on agricultural exports. These payments were paid under the market facilitation programs (MFP) in 2018 and 2019. The payment structure of the two previous market facilitation programs (2018 and 2019) differed in some respects but there were similarities as well.
