A small decline occurred in the number of notifications of infectious diseases in England and Wales during the week ending March 26. The largest falls were 336 for measles, from 29,018 to 28,682, 57 for whooping-cough, from 1,924 to 1,867, and 24 for scarlet fever, from 839 to 815.
