This article presents the situation of virtual learning adoption and implementation by lecturers at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) in recent years and their associated challenges. Based on the situation analysis, this article suggests a number of potential solutions to enhance the adaptability of lecturers and improve the effectiveness of e-learning. These solutions will contribute to the better preparation of lecturers and educational administrators for immediate and effective responses to similar adverse events in the future, from that ensure the quality of higher education.
