The author investigates, how the WTO pillars such as the principle of reciprocity, the Most Favoured Nations Principle and the formation of coalitions affect developing countries. Theoretical and empirical examinations have revealed the ability of these WTO pillars to improve the position of developing countries when they appear at the bargaining tables of multilateral negotiations.
