In the thirty-three greater towns of England and Wales, with an estimated population of 11,403,026, for the week ending Oct. 20, the death-rate was 10.7. Deaths reported 3,063; acute diseases of the respiratory organs (London) 242, whooping cough 43, diphtheria 04, measles 80, fever 56, scarlet fever 31.
