AN ANALYTICAL STUDY ON DETERMINING THE FUNCTIONAL POTENTIALITY OF NON MOMENT RESISTING BRACED FRAMES TO MINIMIZE EARTHQUAKE INDUCED DAMAGE
2022
Zenodo
Abstract: In this research article, an analytical study on determining the functional potentiality of non moment resisting braced frames to minimize earthquake induced damage has been presented. A self-centering damage avoidance idea called a Resilient Slip Friction Joint (RSFJ) was created for steel Moment Resisting Frames employing a unique Resilient Slip Friction Joint (RSFJ). The RSFJs make it possible for a gap to open up in the connection during loading, and they re-center the system when
