In the 21st century, different schools of thought on the "teaching profession" are born. These views influence future teachers, leading some to become exceptional, while others are worse off than the previous generation. The aim of the article is to discursively identify the perceptions of student teachers of the teaching profession at the beginning of their training. The researcher presents a concept paper. The positive attitude helps the teacher develop a conductive and student-friendly environment in the classroom. This also has a fruitful effect on student learning. The perception of being a social construct is influenced by many factors such as social strata, gender, age, educational background and previous work experience. What genre and the flow of education have on the perception of the teaching profession by prospective teachers to shed some light.
