Machining of Super alloys is tough due to its superior properties. Inconel 718 is one of the super alloy which has unusual mechanical and thermal properties. Tool wear is one of the main reasons to find out the machinability of Super alloys. Coatings are well known to improve the performance of cutting tools in machining applications.
