This paper chiefly deals with the performance of DSTATCOM as a load compensator. For enhancing the power quality and so as to mitigate harmonics it is employed on the load side. The reactive power is absorbed or generated by DSTATCOM by regulating the bus voltage. The most reason for occurring of the power quality issues is because of the non-liner loads that were employed by the consumers.
