The research aims to identify the relationship between smartphone misuse and cultural identity among Minia university students. ... a negative, non-significant , correlation between students' scores on the smartphone misuse scale and its dimensions ( negative emotions, distraction compulsive preoccupation , social withdrawal) and their scores on the cultural identity scale , and that the highest level of smartphone misuse scale dimensions for university students , the first dimension was (negative emotions) , which amounted to (74,57%), and it was also found that there was no statistically significant difference between the mean scores of males and females in the dimensions (negative emotions, distraction , compulsive preoccupation , and social withdrawal) and the total score . A statistically significant difference between the mean scores of males and females in the dimension (physical stress) in the direction of males.
