The following text addresses the issue of the origin of Kant's anthropology. As starting point, it is hypothesised that the origin of such science is directly linked to a new concept of metaphysics, which Kant elaborates in phase κ of the Reflexionen. The fundamental characteristic of this new definition of metaphysics appears in the exclusion of the metaphysical system from all disciplines whose origin is empiric. Como punto de partida se establecerá la hipótesis de que el origen de dicha ciencia está directamente conectado con un nuevo concepto de metafísica que Kant elabora en la fase κ de sus Reflexiones. La característica fundamental de esta nueva definición de metafísica se hace patente en la exclusión del sistema metafísico de todas aquellas disciplinas cuyo origen es empírico. De aquí se sigue la exclusión de la psicología empírica (Baumgarten) y la consiguiente creación de la antropología como una ciencia independiente (Kant).
