This paper describes mobile expert system's architecture using distributed knowledge bases. These knowledge bases are managed by a global knowledge management system and local knowledge management systems. These knowledge bases are constructed with knowledge and ontology. Each mobile expert system has local ontology suited for local environment. Each local ontology is used for local knowledge definition and refinement.
