This project investigated how to improve student health using nutritional protocols based on recent research findings. By avoiding foods that trigger inflammatory responses in the microbiome and including foods that provide support for mitochondrial functioning, students are able to achieve improved mental and physical functioning. Based on peer reviewed research, a website was developed to educate parents and educators about the mind-gut connection and to provide a variety of strategies that can be used to help improve student health.
