... .It covers the activities performed during the first 6 months of the project, i.e., from 1st July 2020 to 31st December 2020. Although COREnect formally started on 1st July, most of the activities addressed in this deliverable actually kicked off in September 2020. This, along with the COVID-19 context, led the project to adapt the 1st COREnect workshop and the co-located expert meeting. Indeed: •The whole EFECS 2020 conference, including the 1st COREnect workshop, were organised as online events. •The initial plan forecasted a start of the project in September 2020, and the EFECS workshop was then envisioned as the opportunity to hold the first meeting between experts of the 3 Expert Groups. Upon request of the European Commission, the project started on July 1st, 2020. Due to the summer vacation period, Expert Groups became operational in September, and they already started to get together – in remote mode – before EFECS.
