... and technology, which puts forward new requirements for high performance, miniaturization and integration of optical components. Therefore, optical chips based on metamaterials bring many encouraging applications such as in perfect imaging that breaks through the diffraction limit, multifunctional integrated optics, etc. In addition, metamaterial photonic chips can also simulate some phenomena in general relativity, especially exploring some phenomena that have not been experimentally proven. This review paper briefly introduces the study of analogical gravitation based on different kinds of photonic chips on the basis of metamaterials. In the end, there present the summary and outlook about the current development, advantages and challenges of this field.
