Objective: The objective of the present study was to analyze the antibacterial activity of seeds of wild and hybrid varieties of Syzygium cumini against plant pathogens such as Erwinia herbicola, Pseudomonas syringae, and Xanthomonas campestris. Methods: The phytochemicals from the wild and hybrid varieties of S. cumini seeds collected from the Tirunelveli region (Tamil Nadu) were extracted by cold methanol method.
