Abstract: A quarter century of genetic research on neuropsychiatric disorders in Costa Rica. In Costa Rica, the study of the genetic basis of neuropsychiatric disorders started more than 25 years ago. During this time, different research efforts have focused on several disorders: schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, Alzheimer's disease, obsessive-compulsive disorder, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, and Tourette syndrome.
