The general characteristics of three types of clays obtained from the different locations in Saudi Arabia have been investigated. These clays were compared with those of pure kaolin samples. Clays were analyzed by DTA, TGA, SEM, X-ray diffraction, chemical composition (XRF) and optical properties.
