Infantile or developmental coxa vara is a relatively infrequent localised dysplasia of unknown etiology which usually presents in the second or third year of life soon after the child begins walking. The clinical and radiological picture is usually characteristic especially when seen early. Early surgery leads to a satisfactory outcome.
