Dual-kV is a spectral CT modality that is currently available clinically, which traditionally employs energy integrating detectors, and in some cases acquire spectral data that is unregistered. A spectral method developed for photon-counting detectors, the constrained one-step spectral CT image reconstruction method (cOSSCIR), is designed to perform material decomposition directly from a set of spectral measurements.
