This article extends Scheffé's modified (sequential) multiple-comparison procedure in one-way analysisof-variance to other analysis situations, including interaction comparisons in factorial ANOVA designs, tests of partial regression coefficients in multiple-regression analysis, and comparisons of means in onefactor multivariate analyses of variance.
