Comparative study of some aspects of ecdysteron (hormone of molting and metamorphosis of insects) and retabolil (steroid anabolic preparation) regulation of protein biosynthesis in mammals (mice) was carried out. Protein-anabolic effect of ecdysteron in higher animals isn't related to its influence on mRNA synthesis, but it only reflects acceleration of translation processes.
